If you are considering sending your child/ren to Craigslea State School, please complete BOTH documents below and submit to our office. Please contact the office on (07) 3350 8777 to arrange an enrolment interview.
At Craigslea, we value the opportunity to meet with new parents and their children which is why we will request an enrolment interview. It’s important that both parties get answers to the questions they may have in regard to enrolment in our school. It is the critical starting point for the home-school relationship that supports your child in their developing education and must be maintained to ensure their academic, social and emotional success.
Our Open Day provides new and prospective parents the opportunity to learn about what Craigslea State School represents. This takes place in term 2 each year. In addition to this, our prep teaching team opens its doors to Early Childhood Centres that may wish to visit.
Prep interviews are with the parent/s and child. This is an interview whereby parents share information and students ‘work’ with a prep teacher: information which assists us in class placements. Then, all new prep students are invited up to school in late November to meet their new teacher, see their new classroom and meet their new classmates. The value of this lies in the fact that your child knows what to look forward to over the Christmas break. It’s an exciting time for all.
To determine when your child can commence their prep year, use the prep ready reckoner calculator.

Our Craigslea State School catchment area can be viewed to determine if your permanent place of residence resides in the catchment area. Parents or legal guardians who wish to enrol their child at the school will need to demonstrate that the student's principal place of residence is within the catchment area. All applicants residing in our catchment area must provide the necessary proof of residence indicated by producing one of each as the following:
One primary source - a current lease agreement, or rates notice, or unconditional sale agreement, and
one secondary source - a utility bill (eg. electricity, gas) showing this same address and parent's/legal guardian's name
